Public fishing access in a suburban area. Is located in a rural setting next to Shoal Creek. There is a trail next to the parking area that leads into the woods. About a 100 feet down the trail, there is another trail to the right. It is very secluded.

Neighbourhood: Tipton Ford

From Joplin, take 32nd Street east to the new Hwy 71 south exit. Take Hwy 71 south to the Diamond(Hwy V)exit. Go west on Hwy V to the T in the road. This is Old Hwy 71. Turn left(south) to the Tipton Ford Public Fishing Access sign on the right. It is across from David Lane on the left.
  • Hours:The area is open from 5am until 11pm. The best times seem to be after 5pm weekdays or anytime on the weekends.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:The best place to meet up is down the trail that is south of the parking area.
  • Nudity / Policy:The area is owned by the Missouri Department of Conservation. So you have to be careful
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / No, it is a dirt trail into the woods
  • Warnings:The Sheriffs deputies occasionally drive through the area so just be careful. They shouldn't bother you unless you are caught doing something you shouldn't. Families go there to swim and guy's go there to fish.
