Take Hwy 19 north from Airport to Puako Beach Drive (a few miles past Waikoloa Road) right turn. Go down about 1 mile and make a left turn (Old Puako Road) Turns into a single lane road. The first (Public parking lot) You can park here or continue driving about 1/4 of a mile to a dirt road on Left. This road is ok for almost any cars. (Do Not attempt to go down to the beach on any other road unless you are in a 4 wheel drive vehicle) Drive down to the beach area and park. Just past the homes on this dirt street.

  • Hours:No Lifeguards
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Almost all the guy who go here are cruising for something. Young, old, heavey, slim you name it. If your even thinking that you may want to get off or do some sucking this is the spot.
    Cruisiest Spots: The point just to the right of the beach is really cruisy. But their are older guys alot of the time, and often some young straight who want to play around.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Go Naked!
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Their is 1 restroom, plastic outhouse. Try not to take a dump in the bushes or hill like alot of individuals do.
    Warnings: Some straight families go around this area. This beach is secluded from the clothing beaches but when you're in the water they can see you.

  • This is a GREAT spot for nude sunbathing and meeting guys.....from both sides of the island (halfway between hilo and kailua kona). Plenty of cruising going on and people are, for the most part, respectful, if you express disinterest. Awesome place to soak in some rays and swim in the buff...and most days there are some hotties. Ocassionally there are straights but they know what is going on....if you respect them, they'll more than respect you.

    Slight claification on directions to beach. Take puako exit. Then turn RIGHT on first street possible--1/4 mile (not sure of name). You will see dirt lot to the left after 1/4 mile for straight beach. Keep going and at the rise of the next hill you will see dirt road to LEFT. A telephone pole with the number '69' is next to it. Most cars can handle the road. Park above and walk down.
