Plage de Luzeronde
Once at the beach walk south (left as you face the water) and you will soon be on a long stretch of beach backed by a lagoon. Nude bathing is frequently encountered over the next 4kms of sand. This uncrowded beach draws a mix of straight and gay. Despite an official ban on all nude sunbathing on the Ile de Noirmoutiere, the ban is unheeded by visitors to the this beach. Nudity seems to to be freelt tolerated.

From La Barre-de-Monts, head west (i.e. northbound) on D38 for several kms., crossing bridge to Ile de Noirmoutier, continue 11 kms. on D38 to La Gueriniere, then go north on D938 about 4kms. to Noirmoutieren-l'Ile., then take D5 northwest several kms.toward l'Herbaudiere. Just past the town sign, but before the water tower, turn left onto access road to Plage de Luzeronde and parking lot.
