Birdie Beach can be reached by travelling along the expressway from Sydney and taking the Newcastle exit. Follow the Pacific Highway through Doyalson to Lake Munmorah. At Lake Munmorah take Elizabeth Bay Road at the traffic lights. Continue until you see the entrance to the Munmorah State Recreational Area on the left. Turn into the park and follow the signs to the Birdie Beach car park. There is a fee per vehicle to enter the park.

Cruisiest Spots: The cruising happens between both the upper and lower carparks, though at night mainly the upper. Very active beach during the summer months, and many men escape Sydney or Newcastle on the weekends - Nudity / Policy:This beach at the northern end is a recognized nudist beach - legally allowed to be nude

- Warnings:Take care in summer, as the sand gets as hot as the action! Can get extremely hot in summer, take heaps of water & wear foot protection
Warnings: his beat is targeted by rangers and police in plain clothes in an attempt to 'clean it up'. The anthill across from the lagoon has been one major target with cruisers being threatened with fines just for being up there
