Take the Wells terrace exit from Finsbury Park tube station. Turn right out of the station and about 100 feet ahead turn left onto Stroud Green Road. Take the first right, Woodstock Road, and then the first right again, Oxford Road. About 50 feet in front of you, at the end of Oxford Road, take the steps leading up to the left. This is the start of Parkland Walk. Alternatively, come out of Highgate tube station and turn left. Take the second road on the left, Holmesdale Road, and the entrance to Parkland walk is about 50 feet along on the left.

  • Hours:Lunchtime, afternoon and evening.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:You can tell when someone is interested, because they will double back and follow you. Just stop somewhere and make contact as they overtake you.
Cruisiest Spots: Just after the 1st bridge (coming from Finsbury Park), across Upper Tollington Park, there are bushes on either side you can use. Hang around the bench there. Immediately after the 2nd bridge, across Stapleton Hall Road, again there are bushes on either side you can use. To the left the bushes do back quite a way. Hang around on the bridge or at the bench just after. Immediately after the entrance from Blythewood Road, there are extensive bushes on the right that you can use. Wander about here or sit on the grass bank about 50 feet further on.
  • Nudity / Policy:I wouldn't!
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Occasional mothers with children or dog walkers.
Warnings: update 8/25/2008: Community support officers walk down the highgate end at times, and during the day families often wonder into some of the bushes while walking down here . Best to avoid the times when it is not used by the public- when wet, late or in the winter.

The police do occasional patrols here, but I've never seen any trouble. It's a nature reserve, just look as if you're enjoying the surroundings!
