  • Guys, I've just moved into the area. I went here the other night, and was astonished by what a great place this could be. The only thing was... there was NOBODY there. I mean NOBODY. Not one person! Am I looking in the wrong place? I looked everywhere, but it was deserted. Come on, let's make this a hotspot in Hertfordshire! As long as we pick up after ourselves, nobody will complain, and we can make the absolute most of it. There's PLENTY of parking after 6 off Icknield Way - residential, so be careful. I suggest that, as this listing say, we head in on the Outdoor Swimming Pool entrance. (I wouldn't park there, however. Best on foot.) Then, as you get onto the common, there's a large green area (a wide strip, really) to your left. Easy to cruise there, out of sight, then head off wherever afterward, for fun. This could be our Hampstead Park, as long as we look after it. It's a family area. Hope to see you up there!
