This is not a gay bar but it's definitely not a straight bar. There's a very positive crowd that rolls through and a few gays on staff.

Neighbourhood: Downtown (just west of richmond row)

It's not that tough to get to... coming from richmond, go one block west on Albert street (where Prince Albert's diner is) it's the last building before Talbot st. on the north side of the street.
  • Hours:It's definitely gayest on tuesday nights (more than half of the clientelle) though thursdays are good, and most weekends have a dj that draws a gay crowd,
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:There isn't any sanctioned overt , but it is a good place to meet potential hook ups. The crowd is (and i'm aproximating here) 19-25 on tuesdays, 25-30 on thursdays and 20 - 35 on weekends. A pretty diverse crowd, though if there's a "scene" I'd say it's made up of guys that don't want to hang around the homophobic b.s. at the major clubs in london but also find the gay bars here a bit too unoriginal.
  • Nudity / Policy:Probably best to meet people and take them home after, though you could probably get away with a quick in the mens room's .
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / There is a ramp at the Talbot st. entrance, and the washrooms are same floor with room enough to bing a wheelchair into the s.
  • Warnings:Security can be dicks sometimes... so wouldn't want to push the envelope with public .

  • I do hope that post wasn't aimed in my direction! I was merely trying to find out of this was a worthwhile place to go in the week without the en-masse morons that seem to populate other downtown bars.
