Crowd: Well your are in for a treat. As both areas are near army bases you'll get American GI's from Lakenheath and UK squaddies from other camps, some are even in uniform. You can spot the Americans as they have left hand drive cars. Also truckers, holdiday makers, strait lads, courier drivers, bikers and reps.

There are two main areas: Area 1 is the large lay-by just off the A11 towards Lakenheath on the right had side (A1065).
Area 2 is on the road to Bury St. Edmonds. Go by the Little Chef cafe and go down that road for about 1/2 mile. You'll find a large lay-by, park on there.

  • Hours:Anytime for both areas. But Area 1 seems busy all day even more so at night even on a Sunday!

  • The picture BARTON MILLS 1 shows the cottage. The cottage is not really the main cruising area as it is a very public place and the cottage closes daily at 5pm

  • The picture BARTON MILLS 2 shows the woodland area around the cottage which is the very very busy cruising area AFTER DARK - again not really in the daytime as it is a very public area.

  • Area 1: Just off the lay-by in the bushes.

  • Area 2: Walk into the woods and turn left into thich shrubs. For quietness go strait on up the large path into the forest.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Nudity is fine the further you go in the woods.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Mosquito bites are a real pain. Stingers as well and prickly bushes!
    Warnings: None: Excpet the Military Police do pop in now and again to check on squaddies. However they are out of their jurisdiction and can't touch you. (if you ask nicely, they might!)
