The park offers swimming, boat rental, golf, and also an eight mile trail. The park also has many secluded areas where guys can meet.

Take I-96 to Exit 153. Turn left if coming from Lansing or turn right if coming from Detroit. Follow the road into the park. Turn left into the Martindale Beach parking lot. When pulling into the beach, the parking lot splits into two separate lots. The lot on the right is the crusier parking lot.
Cross street: I-96 and Exit 151 or 153
  • Crowd:All sorts- gay men, bi men, married men, young and old.
  • Hours:6 AM to 10 PM
    Best times: Late nights after 6 PM.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Look for guys in their cars giving signals. If a guy is interested meet in the bathroom at the south end of the parking lot or find another place in the park. On busier days,look for interested guys on the beach as well.
    Cruisiest Spots: Martindale Beach. There are bathrooms located at the south end of the parking lot.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:The park charges 4 dollars for a daily pass or 20 dollars for an annual pass. However, the tollbooths usually close around 6.
    Warnings: Make sure to find a secluded area that people won't see or find you. The park can get busy on weekends with families but is generally slow on week days and week nights, especially later at night. There are also Rangers that patrol the park. They won't bother you unless you give them a reason to. Make sure to stay discrete.

  • Just be a little carefull. I'm there all the time, not for cruising but for disc golf. There are a lot of guys there week round who would possibly bash you if they found out you were cruising. Discreetion is HIGHLY advised.

  • I pass this park everytime I go into town when I'm visiting friends. One time, I drove by there and about 12 guys where playing volleyball with their shirts off. It was later in the evening and I swear, their abs were casting shadows! hehehe It was amazing. I'll pass through there next time I'm heading that way so lets chat!
