Wildwood Park

areas

Goreway and Derry

Is This Your Business?

This location is actually the park on Derry Rd, between Goreway and Airport. Everyone knows the park - it's the one with the big plane in the middle of it, near the Westwood Arena.

Neighbourhood: Malton

Park at the arena and walk to the park. There's no actual parking at the park. Walk in, follow the trails others have made into the wooded, forested area.
  • Hours:Mainly in the late evening, early morning. During the day there's too many people walking around, but if you find the right place you might be able to get away with some fun. Do it during the day and you might become an impromptu audience for a plateful of passengers leaving the airport as they fly over you.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Don't get your groove on in the open. Go into the woods.
  • Nudity / Policy:It's a park. Use your head.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Depending on your limitations yes and no. The wooded trail is not accessible unless you are going in by foot. The park itself, is accessible as it has a paved walkway.
  • Warnings:If you park at the arena you might get a ticket after 11pm...to avoid this, maybe park somewhere else.

  • Ok. I checked this place out after checking out the Malton GO the other night. (Yes, I'm on a mission to check these places out haha).

Great place. Lots of trees and shrubbery to hide in at night and get your groove on.

After taking a wander around, I'd have to say that the best places meet someone is at the plane, and go from there. If you walk directly behind the plane (going south) you'll come to a large group of trees. Great place to have some fun.

Now, if you park at the Malton Arena, take the bike path at the south end of the parking lot and follow it. It will take you to even more trees and secluded areas.

There's signs posted that say that the area is patrolled and under surveillance bla bla bla. Usually it's not. However, with that said, if you don't want your car towed out of there after 11pm, park across the road at the 24-hr Egglicious and cross the road.

    Happy cruisin'!

  • There's quite a few... there's a dirt path along the west side of the plane thing. If you follow that path it'll take you into the woodsy area. You can't see into it from the daylight or night. I'd be a little careful at night for skunks and racoons though. At night you're pretty much safe in the open area (think behind the big plane's pillar that it sits on) or just inside the bushes by a couple of feet. If all else fails, there's a little parkette just north on Gorway just past the bush shelter that could provide an excellent place for some nightime fun... no lights, lots of trees...
