Exit I-285 onto Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

north and then exit left onto Route 141,

right side before crossing the river.

  • Little update. I went back a couple of hours later because I wanted to check out his vantage point. He was still in the park but he wasn't on location. But, when I walked up to where he had been, I found out why I didn't spot him easily. He was sitting in a portable "camo" chair and his "camo" pancho/jacket was laying on the ground next to it. So, I went for a walk. I ended up finding his truck too, well hidden from view too. I finally ran into him further down one of the trails walking with some hikers, but I am not sure why they were in a group. Perhaps, he knew them, perhaps they were getting into trouble of another sort, or maybe it was coincidence. But, when I got back to the parking lot they were sitting at one of the benches and he was no where around although I could see his equipment still in the woods since I knew where to look.

  • I was at this park earlier today and there was a ranger hiding in the woods with binoculars watching the parking lot. He was fairly well hidden and I was fortunate to have spotted him. I only saw him because he moved right when I was looking at him; otherwise I would never have seen him. I am not positive but he may have been working with someone in plain clothes as there were a couple of "suspicious" park patrons but this could also have been my paranoia at work after I saw the ranger.
