Northampton Bike Trail
I personally have never seen any police in this area, but people have told me that they do 'occasionally' walk the bridge -- however,as long as you are far enough down, you have plenty of time to stop your activity if you see someone approaching. The bridge has a tunnel-like effect, so no matter how far down you are, you can still see the opening and what is headed your way.

Take exit 19 of I-91 -- go through the intersection and it is directly on your right.

Best times: Anytime after dark -- I've done best between 9 and midnight.
Dates open: Late night. - Cruising Info/ Tips:Don't go under the bridge, as there is only one way in and out.
Cruisiest Spots: Far down into the darker depths of the bridge. - Wheelchair Accessible:No
- Warnings:The occasional str8 couples or bike riders with bike lights ( both are rather infrequent, and the riders are usually cruising anyway), guys who come with flashlights to taunt and tease everybody else.
Warnings: Just be alert as to who is headed your way down the bridge -- and stay out from under it.

the cops drive through the parking area to turn around, if there are a bunch of cars or obvious action on the bridge they might take the walk.
but if folks are discreet and play far enough down, there is no problem. just clean up afterwards so the locals dont get pissed and push the cops to patrol more.
same as most cruisy spots, but still usuable

whats the staus on the cops here is it still not safe to play here it used to be hot lots of group action whens the best times hung gwm here like it all looking to hook up soon thanks guys

this place used to be very cool at times, other times it can be totally dead. the cops definitely know about this place and i would be suprised if they dont bike down it from time to time. im sure the drive thru the parking lot even more, its a good place to turn around for them.
its still usable, but be careful and discreet and clean any evidence.

i always thought it would be best to use a different section of the bike trails. rotating them would keep one spot from being targeted.
its getting too cold to use this area anyways.

Watch out for this place!!!!!!!! The cops are all over it. The bike cops now ride the bridge most of the night and they like to hide out down the opposite end of the bridge. They are taking down license plate numbers also. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!

havent been here in along time but i did walk to the end of the far bridge dressed just in my corset stocking skirt top and 5" ankle boots with locks on them was a total turn on to bad it was a slow night and no one was there

The cops are onto this place. They are there every night hassasing and aresting. They realy messed up a great place, were lots on guys under 40 with big ones..... Lets get another place going on the trail, in a place the cops won't find out about. Sumer is ending so lets get a new area ASAP.

do NOT do it in the parking lot. I've seen cops in the lot on more than one occassion.
I don't even park in the lot after dark, cops have been known to give people a hard time occasionally about it.

would it be safe to just hook up in the car in the parking lot here? I'm not very comfortable doing it outside...
Does anyone know any nearby places that are discreet so I could find someone interested on the bike path or in the parking lot and then drive to a place where we'd be less likely to be interrupted?
I'm not so much worried about getting caught as being caught by unsuspecting passerbys...

this is one of the few places left that actually attracts hot, younger guys nowadays.
there were a few last night. One dude likes to stand on top of the wood rail looking out over the water....seems pretty risky.
Another hottie looked to be college age, went close to all the guys standing in the dark areas, trying to get a good look.
But as usual, it's the grossest guys that were most persistent. One guy offered to "help me out" three different times. I guess getting rejected once isn't enough.
