  • I decided to check this place out. I pulled it up on Google earth, and it looked great. Got there at 9:55 PM tonight. Despite the rain, the dirt parking lot was easy to turn around in. I noticed the swings and picnic table. As far as location is concerned, I give this place a AAA+++. Out of the way yet only ten minutes from the 75/301 Junction and I drive slow. However, there was no one there. Perhaps the wet weather kept everyone home. I can see this being a perfect "lovers lane" on a Friday or Saturday night and certainly a great place to meet someone to hookup ( pre-arranged ). If some of us can spot check this place and post the time we do so and what we find, we may be able to have this as a new and cool spot. Definately would encourage a day visit before wondering around this place at night for your own safty as it is fairly dark. Plenty of areas to go off and play. Hard to say if this place is patrolled but seems too far off the beaten path for it to be a part of a routine patrol especially at night. Fort Hammer road from Old Tampa road was fairly dead going and coming. This place has potential!
