Paths under bridge and beside parking area, right beside the river. Quick encounters. Maybe invite to go somewhere else. Along path are small beach areas where guys will let on they are getting a tan, or maybe fishing. Note it is near a kayak practice course.
Update on directions: Hwy 17 eastbound, take Murphy Rd to the right and then turn right on Rantz
Rd, about 200 yds south of Hwy 17.
Another route is westbound on Hwy 17 and go past the Murphy Rd exit to the
guard rail, just prior to the bridge over the Pettawa River, and follow the
car path on the north side of the Hwy, and immediately east of the bridge
there is a trail leading into the bushes and a parking area away from the
Hwy, also lots of foot paths there.
Crowd: Military and civilian guys, mostly in 20's and 30's.

Hwy 417 west of Ottawa, 90 minutes.
Update: Take Murphy Road exit, then first right to parking lot/bridge area.
  • Crowd:Military and civilian guys, mostly in 20's and 30's.
  • Hours:11am to 1pm, 3:30 to just after dark every day.
    Best times: Sunny afternoons and weekend days.
    Dates open: 11am to 1pm, 3:30 to just after dark every day.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Just park for a while, or go for a walk along paths. Hang out under bridge near rapids.
    Cruisiest Spots: Under bridge, along well-worn path.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Other spot about 2 miles east along highway. Public rest area. Guys get confused as to who is hanging where, so it's back and forth. Occasionally couples go there for picnics or whatever. It is very scenic, so we can't be greedy. Also rare flyover by army helicopters. But it is very close to CFB.
