Philly Trans March, created in 2011, is an annual demonstration to bring much needed visibitly to local issues such as hate violence, especially against Black and Brown Trans women, the lack of official concern for the lives, deaths and experiences of Trans men, specifically Trans men of color, oppressive healthcare policies, financial and housing insecurity, police brutality, workplace policies, employment discrimination and the lack of resources and support for Trans and gender variant youth and elders. Organized by members of our local Trans and Gender Variant communities, as well as Accomplices, this endeavor is committed to helping create a safe and inclusive environment for Trans and gender non-conforming individuals.
