These are public washrooms situated in a corner of this busy tree-lined square. There are cafes and bars down one side of the square and another in the centre amongst the trees. Designer shops on the other side. There are park benches nearby so that you can watch who goes in. These toilets are underground and reached by a staircase. Often the attendant will be sitting at the bottom of the stairs but doesn't seem to be concerned especially if you put a few coins in his bowl. You walk slightly left after the stairs and there are 9 bowl urinals on 3 walls in an alcove. Through an opening to the right can be found 5 cubicles and more wash handbasins. Cubicles are a bit cramped for 2 people.
Neighbourhood: Old harbour area
Puerto de la Cruz is a pleasant busy resort on the north coast of Tenerife and there are good motorway approach roads. Plaza del Charco is just behind the old harbour and is just a few minutes walk. It is west of the lagoon. It is clearly marked on all the small free tourist maps.

- Hours:Open all day and probably all night too. I found it busy late morning until it gets very hot outside when many people take a siesta. Also activity during the afternoon and evening.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Stand at the urinals and wait for eye contact. Cruising also takes place along the pathways in the centre of the square.
- Nudity / Policy:None.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / No, as steep staircase for access.
- Warnings:There is a cleaner/attendant who sits at a table at the foot of the stairs with his radio. He appeared to take no notice while I was in there but a local told me that he has been known to report activity. A dish for small coins on his table might help to oil the wheels. Just be careful and as discreet as possible.
