Chihuahua Beach
It's about 2.5 hours from downtown Montevideo. The road is nice, and you can stop along the highway in different villages an beaches. When you pass the exit to Piriapolis you have maybe a 35 minutes' drive to get there. When you see the signs for the Punta del Este airport, check your right side for the sign. It's worth the trip...promise.
Be careful late afternoons with young locals in groups -- they want your money...and only your money. If you are alone, stay next to your car and ond the water shore, don't go to the woods alone at night. Many bisexual couples go there during the weekends. Have fun!
