  • Was by Oxbow today. It's getting thick and green. Anyone interested in meeting there some afternoon about 5?

  • I was by this park yesterday and it has potential. The rest rooms still open. Has Winter hours (closes at 4pm.) Still a possible place to meet up. You could walk up the ramped platform to meet and talk and go from there. Did not walk all the paths, but still should be some out-of-the-way places to get it on. Or meet in RR and go from there. Meet outside and make a workable plan.

  • Scratch Oxbow for the foreseeable future. The trails and brush are what burned. My guess is it was a careless smoker.

  • Stopped by today at noon and the parking lot is now open though no one was around. Didn't have time to head out on the trails to see what condition they're in post-fire but hope to tomorrow.

  • Stopped by again today and park still closed. But I noticed a pull-off spot on the way to the park and on my way back stopped there for a few minutes chatting with a guy who was playing with his dog and having a beer. Hoping to make some contact but didn't happen. This spot seemed it could be a possible meet-up spot for anyone wanting to meet at park. Would need to go some place else for real fun, but holds possibilities for contact. I was hoping to meet someone who would blow me. Maybe next time.

  • Was by there Friday afternoon also and found it closed. Was hoping to meet up maybe w/ someone and some action. Hope it opens back up soon.

Has anyone been or to the park off W 4th down by the river? I've been there a few times walking along river and looking but no luck so far.

  • There was a fire last Friday I think that burned up to the RR tracks and 4th street. They mentioned the Oxbow nature preserve and called it a "popular hiking area" on the news. I'm going to try and get up there today and see what the damage is, if any.
