Ferncliff Forest Preserve
Lots of wooded trails -- hiking and biking trails-- and bushed area is not patrolled. Only one part-time forest ranger, who makes very rare visits.

US Rt.9 N or S to Northern Dutchess Hospital. Turn there and continue to Mt. Rutsen Rd. Continue for about one mile. Sign on the left. Park in parking area, and walk up the wood road.
