  • This was a robbery, not a crime of passion ! The assailant was looking for a easy mark to rob and since most people on SSI tend to carry cash it was a good bet until the victim fought back and was sadly fatally wounded ....

  • GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -- Hours after a man was found dead in the restroom of a Georgia park, police said a man turned himself and admitted to the crime. Mark Williford

On April 1 at about 6 p.m., officers with Glynn County Police Department responded to a call at Massengale Park that person had been assaulted in the restroom.

Responding officers found 70-year-old Harry Reese, of St. Simons Island, stabbed to death in the men's bathroom, police said.

According to the GCPD, Brunswick resident 39-year-old Mark Williford turned himself in to authorities at the police department at about 10 p.m. and told them he had stabbed a man on St. Simons Island.

Williford is charged with murder in Reese's death.

An autopsy will be performed on Reese at the GBI Crime Lab in Savannah.

    Hey guys,

Due to a recent article on the Times-Union website and a sting operation at this location there may be a heightened police presence at cruising locations in the the area.

Please keep this in mind as it may bring unwanted attention from local citizens and police. Take care of yourselves and each other while youre out there.

Keep each other informed, and keep cruisein!

  • He doesn't say he was at all of those places on the same day. The date/time shown is when he made the entry. The post for St. Simons says on July 5th. Only one other post says "today".
    Relax and enjoy life.

  • brennan_l_2003 how can you be at several places at the same time? Or is it that you have some sort of instant beaming device that transports lots of you out at different places but at the same time? Really by your posts I wonder
