The steam room is pretty awesome. It made going to the gym every night after work a real treat, especially in the winter. The steam gets so thick that you can barely see your hand in front of your face, which makes great cover for cruisers. The room is in teh back corner of the men's lockers and the staff doesn't check in much. You can be completely hard and with someone else in the room and they won't even know it. This is the best steam room for I've ever been to. I've had multi-guy and sessions on numerous occasions.
Crowd: All locals, some hot blue collar guys. There is one old guy who hangs out all the time and won't take a hint. He's a barber in Newburyport
Facilities: This is a pretty good gym with lots of equipment, indoor pool, large indoor track and new squash/tennis courts. This gym was recently expanded/renovated and the new lockers are nice.

Facilities

From I-95 heading north take the Rte 110 Exit (58A) continue on ramp, turns into Rte 110. Golds is in a shopping complex on the right all the way in the back.

    5:00am - 10:00pm
    Saturday & Sunday
    6:00am - 6:00pm
    Best times: During the week there is the most action within a few hours of closing. The steam room can be cruisy all afternoon long on the weekends.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Find what you like, give the johnson a tug and if he's interested he'll tug back.

  • Wheelchair Accessible:Yes
  • Warnings:The one creepy guy who scares away all the good looking guys.
    Warnings: Just be smart - don't hit on straights and don't be obvious about your cruising. It would be a shame if this place got busted because a cruiser was being stupid.

  • I used to belong to this gym when I lived up there. The old steamroom was great for action because it got so steamy you couldn't even see the opposite wall. Unfortunately the crowd is light and very hit or miss. There is an unattractive old guy who hangs out there all night long and won't take no for answer. he usually scares off anyone worth fooling around with.
