Real good views with lots of places to hide. A fellow cruiser adds more directions: 'Turn off onto Gilbert Road, proceed to McDowell, turn off North to West on Power Rd, the Park will be on left, entrance first after passing unpaved Granite Reef Road on
left.'*Update Aug. 2002: parking area is now a paid area.*

Can be reached off of BeeLine Hgwy by Lake Suguaro Rd. After quite a few miles, when you start to see water on right(Verde River), Park will be on right. You pass exit first and then entrance is a short way thereafter.

    Cruisiest Spots: Take a walk along the river to the dam. You don't know what you might see.

  • i went over the canal twice through the dry river bed then up the hill then where do u go please give me more info. and some roads there say no trespassing.

  • the dirt road named granite reef dam rd. how long does it take to get to where there laying and playing nude? is it still going on at 3am.?

  • UPDATE!!!! The parking are ais now a PAY to PARK area... so if you continue to head east on Bush Hwy(Power Rd).. at about Mile Maker 22 there is a dirt parking are aw/trails to cruise for fun.

  • Now when I have gone there it has been ok. Had some repeated fun. This park is actually in the Mesa area. Its on Beeline(Power Rd)Just at the bottom of the hill, on the left side just before the road curves to the left. Also I have heard that if you take the dirt road on the left before the park and follow it over the canal (twice) across the riverbed, up the hill people lay out in the buff and play next to the river. This is a dirt road so keep that in mind.

  • Update please! I haven't had any luck at Granite Reef. Am I missing something? I will try again today at 11 or 12. (Sun Dec 24)

  • I went to this location a half dozen times. There are lots of families all around the area. Walking the trail towards the dam has more families and lots of dads with their little boys fishing. DEFINITELY NOT an optimal place for cruising.
