Sexluded area of Sunset Beach well known for nude sunbathing and cruising.

Neighbourhood: Sunset Beach

Cross over drawbridge onto Sunset Island. Turn right at light. Public parking along the shoulder at the end of road. Walk onto beach and go to your right. In the far distance you will see a rock jetty. The nude area is around the jetty in the dunes.
  • Hours:During the summer it is usually quite active everyday. Weekends get crowded with families out for a stroll.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Check among the dunes before the jetty.
  • Nudity / Policy:yes. Well known nude beach area.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / No
  • Warnings:Keep your trunks handy for quick cover ups!!!

  • Can any of you local guys give us the 411 on Bird Island now? The Wilmington paper reported a doctor has started a drive to ban nudity on the far end of the beach.

  • Any updates on Bird Island? I have been told there nudity is no longer allowed. Can someone verify???
