Get on to the canal tow path by walking down the steps opposite Stanforths Pork Pie shop (At the top of the High Street turn left at the roundabout and the steps are a little further down on your right, the pie shop will appear on your left). At the bottom of the steps wak accross the grass area and follow the tow path behind the castle. The walk is about five mins if that, you will cross a small foot bridge and come out on a wide path / drive way. Turn right and walk for about 30 secs and your in the woods.

• Hours:This is open all year round 24/7. Best times I have found to be around late morning till early afternoon,
• Cruising Info/ Tips:Best place is near the lake there are a couple of benches to sit on and wait. This is about five mins into the woods, just stay on the main path and you will come to it.
