Slapton Sands is an unofficial but well established nude beach, frequented by nudists since the 1930's. Gay men gather at the north end of the beach towards (and sometimes past the rocky outcroppings) Despite the name, it is a pebble beach, there are no services and the closest restroom are in the parking lot.

From Dartmouth head south on route A379. After 4 miles you will reach the tiny village of Strete. Continue south abouot one mile further. The road will descend steeply to sea level at Strete Gate, where there is parking lot on the left. On the beach walk north (left when facing the sea) about a third of a mile to nude area.
