Layby on A184
Had plenty of fun here, can sometimes wait ages for cars to come along, but there is usually at least 1 person there all the time! Maybe it goes in shifts?! If there's no-one there, hang around, its usually worth the wait.
Crowd: All sorts. Young lads, older men, marrieds, bis, gays, bus drivers, taxi drivers, truckers. Anyone looking for fun really.

Follow the main road from Newcastle to Sunderland, the A184, and the layby is on the left, just before Testos roundabout. It's fairly long, and there is a phonebox at the north end.

Best times: After dark - varied. When work's finished, again around 9 pm onwards. Can go on all night! - Cruising Info/ Tips:Get out of your car! Or at least flash your lights. If you are there to cruise and are up for it, just do it!
Cruisiest Spots: The whole layby. Usually in the car (the ususal signals!) or down behind the hedge, it' quite well hidden from the road despite seeming otherwise. - Wheelchair Accessible:No
- Warnings:People just sitting and doing nothing.
Warnings: Police sometimes drive through and ask if you are ok. Be sensible! And people here genuinely to use phones, have a wee etc. Be careful! Reports of cars/vans with daft lads carrying iron bars etc, but none confirmed. Sometimes van with fellas with a huge lamp go down into the field behind hedge, but think they are poaching. You never know, so exercise caution!
