Come through Spennymoor town centre towards Bishop Auckland. At traffic lights, turn right to Whitworth Hall Hotel. About one mile down, on left hand side, is the car park for Auckland Walk. At bottom of car park, to the right of rubbish bin, is a path through the woods. Follow this as far as you can. Several tracks lead into the bushes.
