Is This Your Business?

update 2/12/2009: yes police /press 2003 nearly killed this place off - nearly but not quite-(& i'm loathe to put this on cos pigs check out the webs) dont want 2spoil the fun but it still goes on &can be great. during spring/summer but can be a bit hit n miss -jumpin or dead anytype of action from 9am to 9pm sometimes later (careful discretion) rumours overthe years that the police still check it out are true but not that often (plains clothes& uniform- one is supposedly ON but isnt that always the dream?)# dog walkers get down but some ARE ON(use your "radar" & commonsnse). hang about it will happen . ( patience can be a pain in the arse - hopefully).some park @the barrier ( sometimes this is open ) this makes others aware that someones down , as youre not always visible from the road unless standing near the cliffs edge. howeverif you dont want to park there - why not park in ryhope itself & do the short walk ? jump the fence @ the newroundabout ,cross the railway lines & walk to the right as if going to seaham youll see the advertising board.vear left to the cliffs edge & hang around- it will happen (patience is a pain in the arse -hopefully) and if you tire of this place the "seaham hall picnic"cottage is only a 10 minute walk away. enjoy and i'll see you there in spring!/summer evenings .

Path leads form lay-by toward clifftops. Steps down lead to good cover of bushes and trees. Plenty of evidence of popularity! Can be busy at any time of the day or night. For extra seclusion, continue down steps and on to beach. Turn left for best caves. Great scenario for rough .
