Popular nude beach. Beautiful scenic location. The western end of the beach is usually where the straight nudists sit, and the gays tend to go to the eastern end. There are tracks into the bush from the centre and eastern end of the beach, where more guys usually are to be found in the shade.

Neighbourhood: Pacific Palms

Head south about 20kms from Forster to Pacific Palms. Take the Elizabeth Beach turn off. Drive past the toilet block, then the surf club at Elizabeth Beach. There is a car park at the eastern end of Elizabeth Beach, or else park on the road as most people do. Follow the track up over the hill through the palm trees (about 10mins walk) and you'll come to the paths to Shelly Beach.

  • Hours:All day. Crowd dwindles with the sun.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Eastern end and bushes behind are the cruisiest spots. The beach attracts all types from surfers to tradies to hairy bears. Often a lot of older guys.
  • Nudity / Policy:Nudity is the order of the day. Both the straights and gays get annoyed when clothes are worn.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Not possible.
  • Warnings:One of the most picturesque beaches in NSW, which unfortunately draws hordes of clothing wearing families during holiday seasons. If you strike the beach on one of these days, head straight for the bushes behind the eastern end.
