Picture update 6/2/2009: This first picture referes to the following: The Silkin Way is a 13 mile long through-route from north to south Telford (or vice-versa), designated in honour of John (later Lord) Silkin, Minister for The New Towns in the 1970s. A number of route markers are still to be found along its length, although parts of the original route have become a little vague now. The Telford Plaza office buildings are visible in the background.

The 2nd picture is of Madely Court Mill which is along the Silkin Way footpath and is next to where the GWR passes over the Tweedale to Madeley footpath and close to Madeley Court.

Noticed some good looking men (often walking dogs) in the area, Frequently stopping to read the gay graffiti on the bridge under the Brookside - Aqueduct Road on Silkn Way. I suspect at least some of them are gay looking for guys.Presumably have nice homes nearby to go back with them (have spoken to a few of them and one of two are quite chatty and I think are interested). Did meet one guy recently, and we met up later and had a really great time.

Neighbourhood: Stirchley to Aqueduct

  • Hours:Daytime. By night it's not a nice area - lots of youths hanging around.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Best spot is close to the road Bridge and also under a very old footbridge which has a memorial plaque on it. Otherwise just walk up and down the part of silkin way which runs parrallell to the road where the pub is. Also under the little Bridge just before the Pub which leads down into Aqueduct itself. A couple of railings act as a good stopping place to chat or wait.
  • Nudity / Policy:No nudity unfortunately
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Possibly
  • Warnings:One or two of the locals who live near the Britannia Pub seem overtly interested in strangers but soon become disinterested
