"Pink Flamingos remains to this day the most cogently transgressive and anarchic film ever made." - Cole Smithey MINK STOLE IN ATTENDANCE FOR INTRO AND POST-SCREENING Q&A! Made possible by our friends Horror-Rama! Don't miss Mink Stole in attendance for their convention this November! www.horrorramacanada.com Divine stars in one of her most iconic roles as Babs Johnson, a criminal who lives with her egg-loving mother Edie, son Crackers, and friend Cotton. They all live together in a trailer at the outskirts of Phoenix, Maryland, surrounded by none other than several plastic pink flamingos. After learning that Babs was declared the "filthiest person alive" by tabloid newspapers, rivals Connie and Raymond Marble set out to destroy her disgusting legacy, and reclaim it for themselves. The notorious tagline "an exercise in poor taste" almost seems politely understated compared to what John Waters' film Pink Flamingos actually delivers. In actuality, Pink Flamingos is an exercise in unrestrained gritty, heaving, slobbering deviancy - murder, assault, gluttony, voyeurism, cannibalism, and all means of repulsion are all at the forefront of Waters' film, to create one of the most infamously disturbing films to ever grace the screen. We're not being cute when we say that if you haven't seen Pink Flamingos before you really have to prepare yourself for what you're about to witness. If you so dare: join us for an exercise in absolutely unrelenting filth! We will have PINK FLAMINGOS barf bags for sale in the lobby, designed by Laura Harte! Our screenings would be nothing without our freaky sponsors: Horror-Rama, The Beguiling, Delirium Magazine and Eyesore Cinema! RSVP FOR ACCESSIBLE SEATING: The Royal has 5 accessible sections which you can reserve when completing the form to purchase tickets. One of the accessible seating areas has space for two mobility devices and a small section behind for the party to join. The other three are for single mobile devices with 2-3 seats beside them.
