This is a truck-stop/rest area along the 401. The McDonald's is open 24/7. The best place to go though is into the picnic area. Its deep into the woods...VERY secluded. Stay on the road until you see the public washrooms on the right. The road circles back around, and is scattered with 'camp sites/picnic tables'. The picnic area is hard to spot (look for the sign), so not many people even know its there. The washroom has several 'messages' on it...so the area has been well used in the past.

Hwy#401 Eastbound from Brighton. About 1 km west of the Wooler Road exit. (Across the Hwy from the TimHorton's truckstop).
  • Crowd:Anyone.
  • Hours:Open 24 hrs/day. The picnic area is closed from fall until spring.
    Best times: Anytime. Weekends are best.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Hang out around the washrooms until someone comes. Go inside and pull it out. The picnic area is literally out in the woods...so if you don't like the washroom, go for a short walk. Lots of trees & 'cover' around.
    Cruisiest Spots: Washrooms at the far end of the picnic area, deep into the woods. Follow the truck area all the way to the far east end. The picnic area entrance is hard to see (it goes into the woods), so look for the sign.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:There are still travellers passing through and occasionally they stop by the picnic area.

  • Thinks it has reopened temporarlly -- I am going to try it out tomorrow thursday June 11 - around 9-10-11 - drving a blue truck -- hopefully it is open

  • I stopped in here in June and met a very nice clean young guy in the washroom.. He was delicious!!! Would love to meet someone here again sometime..
