Nice trails to have a bit of privacy. The restrooms are individual pits with locking doors. They are clean.

Off I-94 exit at Half Day Rd or IL-60. From Half Day, go north on 21/Milwaukee Rd. From IL-60, go south on 21/Milwaukee Rd. On east side of road, at traffic lights.

    Cruisiest Spots: Follow to the back of the park. Big lot with restrooms just into the woods. Each one is a with a locking door.

  • I drove through here yesterday and got out and walked around. Lots of hikers, families, and bikers on the trails. Parking lot had a lot of straight guys eating lunch, but absolutely no cruising I could see. A park police car was making rounds and not missing anything. A really nice park as a park, but absolutely no "action". Plenty of space for privacy (if you don't mind the mosquitoes) but bring your own partner.

  • go to the parking lot with the cop cruiser in it. You'll be real safe. Better still post when you're going so you can reserve a spot next to the cop.
