The Esquimalt end of the West Bay Walkway starting from the newly constructed bridge and ending at the marina at Gore & Head Sts.
Neighbourhood: Esquimalt
The walkway runs from the Johnson Street bridge to the West Bay Marina but it gets cruisier near the marina area starting at the wooded section. Several secluded beach areas for quick fun or just head into the woods.
-
- Hours:Always open but busier for cruising in the evenings and nights.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Lots of military guys out for a "stroll", popular with joggers and dog walkers looking for some quick fun.
- Nudity / Policy: is usually kept to the secluded beaches and the wooded areas.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / Fairly accessible to anyone with disabilities, the walkway is wide and unobstructed. Getting down to the beaches or into the woods may be difficult though.
- Warnings:Never seen cops patrolling the area, it seems to have remained pretty low profile even though it's been used for cruising for years.
