cruiser Update: Famous and historic gay cruising restrooms have been torn down - bushes and trees from the 60's to the 80's have been destroyed..lights cover every area at night. Good luck, buddies!
Any cruising in the day takes place by the covered picnic shelter off of Whitman Street, or look for obviously cruising guys by themselves around the duck pond... but even then...lots of straight people obviously will hang out there, so use your best gaydar judgement.
At night, if ever, best bet is in the southeast corner by the small pond and picnic shelter area...again, good luck. This seems to be history.Restroom with 2 stalls, gloryhole, no doors on stalls. 12/03/04 A cruiser reports: drive around is limited but available for site seeing after dark. The bathrooms are locked after 6pm, but action usually meets near the lake & goes elsewhere. Still busy at lunch time but be ready to take it home.
