Warkworth Beach Picnic Area

areas

Warkworth, between Alnwick and Amble,

Is This Your Business?

Judging from the writings on the wall this place should be busier than it is. Lots of holidaymakers cause it to be a bit risky when children are running in and out of the toilet. Out of season is safer. I have met people from all over here as there is nowhere in Alnwick for cruising that I know of.
Crowd: any age.

Who's Coming

any age.

Follow the coastal road from Alnwick and Alnmouth to Warkworth. Just before the river bridge at the edge of Warkworth, turn left up the hill, narrow lane signposted Warkworth beach and Golf club. Picnic area and toilets at the end.

  • Directions:Follow the coastal road from Alnwick and Alnmouth to Warkworth. Just before the river bridge at the edge of Warkworth, turn left up the hill, narrow lane signposted Warkworth beach and Golf club. Picnic area and toilets at the end.
  • Hours:afternoons and sometimes evenings.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:2 cubicles. A brick is missing from the dividing wall - the hole is a bit high for comfort! Wait in the far cubicle.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Beware of the weird cleaner on the bike who comes any time after lunch and is a pain. If necessary wait in your car until he goes. There is a disabled room round the back which is safer. Or there are some bushes nearby behind the caravan park which are much safer and quieter. Pick up in toilet and go there.
