Yadkin River Greenway
A walking trail out thru the woods that begins at the base of the dam, at the spillway, over the hole for water release. Has a cute little creek flowing thru it and a short iron metal foot bridge. lots of secluded places where action can occur. Lots of potential. Away from all motor traffic. All gravel so you can hear someone coming before they can see you. Very peaceful, with babbling brook sounds from the creek.
Crowd: all types, but mostly athletic, joggers, walkers, etc. Hikers also.

Go to the spillway, where the water comes out of the dam. At the dead end of the parking lot. Is the start of the Greenway trail.

Best times: at sunset and shortly after. Not too bad on moonlit nights either. On light nights
Dates open: all year around. 365(6) - Cruising Info/ Tips:Hang out on and around the metal iron foot bridge. At night you could hang out with your hanging out or nude from the waist down or just nude totally.
Cruisiest Spots: on and around and under the walking bridge, half way thru the trail. The iron bridge over the little creek. - Nudity / Policy:Yes / Nudity especially at night and in areas where you can see someone coming from far away and under the metal footbridge or around it.

(You have to be logged in) Add CommentA guy was arrested here last month for walking NUDE on the Greenway trail during the day with families present. Then also for stalking a man / woman couple in the parking lot AFTER being seen by them walking nude on the trail. So law enforcement has increased here for now anyway. Please people use your heads, the one on your shoulders. If there are alot of men / women couples or even women on or around the trail, odds are they are not going to appreciate a nude man being in the wooded trail with them. So if there are couples and / or families please do NOT do the nude thing

WARNING:
The federal managment has installed a servillance camera on the 5th light pole on the road going across the dam itself. BUT, it can also watch the parking lot for the spillway and Yadkin River Greenway. Also the first parking lot you come to, B4 this parking lot. ALL the lower parking lots. Ranger has told me, it is powerful enough to read a newspaper in these lower parking lots. It however can NOT see or watch the Yadkin Greenway trail itself, because of the cover of the trees and hills. Just don't do anything in the parking lots themselves. It records and is monitored 24 hours a day, per ranger. No more NUDE walking across the dam itself. Be careful.

You can see the parking lot for the Greenway walking trail from many points ON the trail. So you can see if law enforcement or any official is coming or checking the parking lot. So it is very safe. You can also see and hear from many points, while you are ON the trail, if someone is coming on the trail, way before they can see / get to you. So this is a perfect place for cruising, spread out thru out the trail too, long trail, not just in one spot, so not easy to watch either. Perfectly safe on this trail for cruising. Plus get some excersise at the same time, we ALL need it, some more than others. Happy cruising.
