  • Crowd:All types, from young college types to the average blue collar working bear to the older grandpa types. All ages and races cruise here. Just hang around, you're sure to find someone to your liking.
  • Hours:All the park outhouses are cruised very much, at all hours of the day and night.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Not monitored very much at all. Park rangers and sheriffs' dept. rarely, just drive through and keep going. Men in toilet can see when someone is coming toward outhouse. Parking lot is easy to see from toilet. Some straight men do go fishing there, unaware of the cruising, so use caution.
Cruisiest Spots: The men's outhouse at Blood Creek pull-off on Hwy 268 west of Wilkesboro, at approx. 10 miles, and the men's outhouse at Warrior Creek park, 1 mile past Blood Creek pull-off. Both have glory holes and easy to see if someone is coming.

whos coming to W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir

  • WARNING:
The federal park management has installed a servillance camera on the 5th light pole going across the dam. It looks upon the whole road going across the dam all the way to the very circle end. It also can watch the lower parking lots on both sides of the dam, beside the lake and on the spillway (release side). It can watch the whole immediate area. A ranger told me, it can read a newspaper on the far ends of all the above mentioned area, that's how powerful it is. It can even watch the parking lot for the yadkin river access. The first parking lot you come to B4 the spillway parking lot. It can NOT however see onto the Yadkin Greenway Trail, because of the trees on the trail. Just be careful. No more NUDE walking on the road going across the dam. Camera records and is monitored 24 hours a day, per rangers. Be Careful.

  • the BRAND NEW Yadkin River Greenway trail at the base of the dam, over the "spillway" hole for the beginning of the Yadkin river is much more secluded and cooler. Lots of trees totally surrounding the trail. With gravel trail you can hear someone approaching before they can see you. This trail is the safest of any of the reservoir parks. FAR from any motorized traffic. EVERYONE has to get there by foot or bike. So you have to hear them coming before they can get there. Some points of the trail you can see them coming before they can get there. So it's very safe. It's pretty long too, not just in one spot. Lots of potential, check it out on this website.

  • Fellas,
The Yadkin River Greenway listed under N.Wilkesboro's listings, is far better than this Blood Creek Overlook, you are hassled much less or actually NONE by law enforcement such as Rangers etc. It is much more spread out. More convenient ( centrally located ). Easily accessible from many vantage points and entrances (parking lots). Give it a try.

  • Hey guys,
you should check out the listing under N.Wilkesboro for the Yadkin River Greenway. It's lots of fun down there and nobody can say anything to anybody about hanging around or hanging out down there. Check it out guys, it's listed under the city of N.Wilkesboro, not Wilkesboro, separate listing.

  • Rangers, driving around more becasue of drugs. Be careful of ranger in Jeep with brake light on pole over spare tire in back, pole looks wierd sorta like this _T but its a brake light. Jeep is white with black lettering RANGER on it. He will follow you and watch, may follow you out of the park to see were you live. Be careful and watch your rear view mirror.
