Dark Mountain Trail
Very well-bushed and shaded trail, goes miles out into the woods. Very quite and secluded. Lots of areas to go off by yourselves after meeting. Creeks and large rocks also line the trail. Lots of opportunities for privacy. Cool even during the hottest days.

Go to road crossing directly over the W. Kerr Scott Dam. Go to dead end loop and turn left, down hill to parking lot for walking track. Start around walking track and take the marked entrance for the trail. Easier to take the one to the left of the track.

Best times: From noon till 5 pm.
Dates open: From around noon till dark or gate closing. - Cruising Info/ Tips:Rub crotch while passing or talking to fellow hikers. Can stand or sit around with your hanging out, act like you're taking a pee. Wear very revealing shorts or no shorts at all after you are on the trail, but keep shorts with you, to put on in case of emergency or meeting straight couples hiking.
Cruisiest Spots: Near the darkened entrance of the hiking trail to the left of the walking track, closest to the water. Also, up on the top of the mountain, very secluded. - Nudity / Policy:Yes / Can have partial nudity, just keep clothing with you if needed!
- Wheelchair Accessible:No
- Warnings:Some straight couples hiking and older people getting in the way some times. Going too slow and taking their time moving along. Keep up with time, gate closes at the hour posted, with or without you.

The federal management for the reservoir has installed a servalliance camera on the 5th light pole on the road going across the dam. It can watch the parking lot of the dark mtn. trail. All the way from the big flag pole circle all the way down to the begining of the trail itself. Ranger has told me, it can read a newspaper all the way down in that parking lot and in the circle. That's how powerful it is. Be careful. No more NUDE walking across the dam itself. It records and is monitored 24 hours a day, per ranger.

If you walk around the walking track, counter clockwise, you will see the other entrance to the right or YOUR left behind some tree limbs and leaves and some big rocks. Just do some searching and you'll find it, them. Just don't go on first looks from a distance, put some effort into it.
