From Winchester or junctions 9 or 10 off the M3, follow signs for A31 Alton and Alresford. The road alternates between single and dual carriageway. After the roundabout near the Percy Hobbs pub, it is dual carriageway all the way. Carry on about 5 miles, and there is a large blue P indicating a Parking area on the left. Drive in, and go all the way to the far end. Sometimes there is burger van near the beginning, so go to the far end. Get out of your car and go into the woods. The best action is if you continue walking parallel to the road in the direction you were driving in.
