Worcester to Birmingham canal

Is This Your Business?

The canal runs through Worcester and leaves the town under the M5 motorway. Best place to meet is between the Bilford road bridge and Tolladine top lock. Closer to town is busy, and beyond Tolladine lock is mainly countryside.

Neighbourhood: Perdiswell to Warndon

Joining the canal at either Bilford road or Blackpole road is best, although there are many access points along the length of the canal.
  • Directions:Joining the canal at either Bilford road or Blackpole road is best, although there are many access points along the length of the canal.
  • Hours:Best times would seem to be dusk onwards in the summer, so around 8-30pm onwards.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:There are cyclists using this path, walkers and people going to and from work. Mixed ages, almost no obvious signs that someone is interested. Tolladine top lock and the two bridges in that area are quiet areas.
  • Nudity / Policy:I wouldn't suggest any obvious nudity in these area's. There is a small wooded coppice off the canal, where more horizontal natures could take place unseen. Also on top of a disused bridge that leads nowhere?
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / The canal is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
  • Warnings:Can be deadly quiet in sunlight hours, dusk seems best.
