Campground and camp facility for 5 to 30 people, situated in the Mojave Desert. Located 10 miles from Yucca Valley and 45 miles from Palm Springs, Starland provides ten acres of quiet space surrounded by desert mountains. Enjoy the night sky by a crackling campfire, or while in the hot tub. In the day time there are surrounding trails to explore. Some of the latter are very secluded in the canyon and attract nude hikers. Starland is a campground managed, maintained, and built mostly by volunteers. Check their website for more information.

  • Starland is still there. There is a membership requirement, but they have volunteer work weekends and you will be granted first year membership for the time you donate.
