Plage d'Illien
This beach is often referred to as the north beach beach of Blancs Sablons. You can also reach this beach by following signs to Plage des Blancs Sablons, parking in the first lot, walking north on the coastal trail (path GR34), then descending to the cove. The beach is not officially sanctioned as clothing optional, but nudity is tolerated. The beach is popular with gay men from Brest.

From Brest head west on route D789 for 25 kms., just before Le Conquet, turn right (north)on D67 for a few hundred meters, then bear left onto D28,(toward Ploumoguer) continue past Plage des Blancs Sablons, then take turnoff left to Illien, where there is parking. Carefully descend to the small cove below.
