Daytime hours are the best now. Since the city annexed the area, it is illegal to be on the federal property after dark unless you are boating or fishing. There is a bar at the Marina now, so I just ride down to the bar and turnaround to look legitimate.

Cops sometimes patrol about every hour during the night. The area is 'closed' after dark. Generally they will just tell you to leave. During the day, at the lock area, watch for park hosts and rangers.
