Cross street: Lake Cook and Waukegan

  • Hours:6am to 11pm weekdays, 8-10pm Sat, 8-6 Sun.
    Best times: Lunchtime, afterschool, sunday afternoons.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Show hard / interest in the shower, take a short trip into the steam room, and stroke your casually. If it's too busy, then you can bet nothing will happen in the steam room or, if it does, you'll be interrupted -- everyone has to pretend that nothing is going on. So mention that you're going to grab a Starbucks (also in the mall) and make a date there.
    Cruisiest Spots: The men's locker room, showers and steam room.... and occasionally the whirlpool / sauna.

  • The club is members only, but if you ask, you can get a guest pass for a day -- put up with the ten minute sales job and make it clear you wont buy until you try.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Members have been kicked out of Ballys for 'conduct unbecoming' so cruising takes some tact and judgement. There are plenty of straight guys around, but haven't seen any open / violent homophobia.
