Belmont Park

If walking from town, walk all the way up Sidwell Street and cross over at pedestrian crossing just after the roundabout then up the side of the new bogs (what a shame they demolished the old cottage here - those were the days...). This is Blackboy Road - carry on - entrance on opposite side opposite the Bowling Green pub. If driving, you might find a parking space on Blackboy Road.

• Crowd:All types - not heaving with people and occasionally I've been the only one there, but that's very rare

• Hours:After dark always - park is used a lot by kids and dog walkers during daylight hours. 10:00 pm onwards seems to be best but sometimes earlier.
• Cruising Info/ Tips:Sit on the benches on the top path. You can see who's coming in from the bottom and check over your left shoulder to see who's coming in from Blackboy Road.
  Cruisiest Spots: There are two benches along the path to the right and one down the path to the left in the shadows. Ones to the right seem to be easier. There's a brick building along the path to the left - if you walk up the side of this you can get behind it for a bit of privacy - anyone who might walk up there will be after the same thing
• Wheelchair Accessible:No
• Warnings:The police are reported to have raided the park last summer. I've never seen them though and I've spent hours up there!
