Etiquette
Remember this in Turkey, you are GAY if you like to get . If you are the , then you are not considered gay. In the public areas, be discreet. Although this is a gay hamam, one must still keep the wrap (pestemal) around, unless you are in your private cubicle, of course.
Nudity: In your cubicle, just hang your wrap over the bar and the place is yours.
Safety
The massage and wash down is really inexpensive...about 5 bucks. The whole visit will cost about 10 dollars, with the massage. Depending on the time you go...you will ALWAYS get lucky. And Turkish men range from GQ model types, to bears with bellies. Not a lot of big overweight men, though. As long as you go to the gay hamam (there are TWO in Izmir) you will be fine. If you go to any other hamam, you WILL also get lucky, but you must be really discreet.

Very hot situations. Everyone is gay and looking, but don't make it too obvious or they will complain. The hamam in on Esrefpasa Caddesi, in the corner of the bus station (otogar).
