This nude beach takes its name "kaolins" from the white clay found here. The beach is visited by a mix of nude and suited users, and , although Kaolins is not officially clothing optional, nudity is tolerated. The beach is very popular with gay men.

From Lorient head west on route D162, after 5kms. you will reach the town of Ploemeur, a few kms past it the route will split, continue straight ahead on D162E for 3kms to its end at Le Fort-Bloque. Turn left onto D152, which follows the coast. Aftera few kms park in large lot opposite the Ploemeur-Ocean golf course. There is s path from the parking lot to the nude beach which extends south toward the village of Le Couregant.
