Bolinas Beach
Wind-whipped Bolinas Beach attracts kayakers, suited sunbathers, dog walkers, and on the warmest days, a few naturists. The latter usually prefer to hang out in the nooks and crannies of the long, narrow, rocky shoreline, meditating, watching the passing scene, or simply sunbathing. The town has a strong antinudity ordinance, and many residents do not particularly like outsiders.

Take Highway 1 north three miles to the Bolinas cutoff. Drive past Bolinas Lagoon, turn left on Olema-Bolinas Road, follow it through Bolinas, and park either in town or on Ocean Parkway Avenue, which parallels the beach. Walk up the beach until you find a spot with enough sand and privacy.
