It's a beautiful park and beach, the woods are cruised all year long, the beach, section one, and the island behind it are cruised only in the summer. The hot crowd goes there in summer from May until the end of September.

  • Hours:Its varies. Before work, 8-9 a.m. is good. Lunch time and after work. Sunny days draw lots of men.

    Take the BX12 Bus to Orchard. It runs on Phelam Pkway and Fordham Rd. Tranfer from 2,4,5,6 , B and D
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Be prudent. Respect others. Keep your eyes open for anything. Do not do anything rash that might disturb others. Smile and be polite.
    Cruisiest Spots: The woods to the left of the parking lot. It's hundreds of acres of nooks, crannies, all filled with possibilities. During summer, the action shifts to the island behind section one of the beach.
  • Nudity / Sexual Policy:Yes / During the summer months, on the island behind section one of the beach, there is nudity, however, it is not allowed and tickets were given out.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Some of the old gossipy queens who tend to hang around the parking lot for hours. Just ignore them and have fun.
    Warnings: Be aware of the fact that the woods are patrolled from time to time by the authorities in plain clothing. Do not do anything rash. be discreet and respectful of others.

    The "gay island" is actually called "Two Tree Island", and there are 2 ways to get there. Walk all the way to "Section 1" of the beach, and go up the paved trail, or you can alternately walk through the bushes where natural trails will lead you to the island. In the summer, you have to wait for the tide to subside so you can cross the bank to get to the island.  You can access the island freely from early morning to noon.  By 12:30 the tide rises and you will have to submerge yourself (waist deep) to get to the island.  The tide lowers by around 4:00pm. The crowd is predominantly Latino men... mostly bottoms who are looking for dick. There are also some old queens who cock block, ignore them. Best days to go are early to midweek, as fisherman and families tend to end up on the island on the weekends.
